Abstract

Investigation is investigation of reality, which occurs in many forms. To understand it,we must first recognize that reality is open and hence inexhaustible. Thus, investigation isa never-ending task. Reality is also multiple in two senses: there are many things, and alsoopenness is their very character as reality. Science investigates what things are, and howevents take place, philosophy investigates what it is to be real. Philosophy needs science,and science needs philosophy; they are two unity modes of investigation. While the importance of science is obvious, the question of what it is to be real is also of the greatest importance, because there are different modes of reality, such as being a thing and being a person. And our way of being among things and among other people depends upon our concept of reality and its modes. Philosophical investigation is of the highest importance, butvery demanding.La investigación es investigación de realidad, que ocurre en muchas formas. Para entenderlo, tenemos que reconocer que la realidad está abierta y por eso inagotable. Así, lainvestigación es una tarea sin fin. La realidad también es múltiple en dos sentidos: haymuchas cosas, y también lo real es múltiple porque lo que es abierto es su propio carácterde realidad.. La ciencia investiga cómo son y cómo acontecen las cosas reales, mientras lafilosofía investiga qué es ser real. Toda filosofía necesita de las ciencias; toda ciencia necesita de una filosofía. Son dos momentos unitarios de la investigación. Mientras la importancia de la ciencia es obvia, la pregunta de lo que es ser real también es de gran importancia, porque del concepto que tengamos de lo que es realidad y de sus modos, pende nuestramanera de ser persona, nuestra manera de estar entre las cosas y entre las demás personas, pende nuestra organización social y su historia.
