Abstract

In the English translations of St. Augustine's works there are more than 30,000 citations of scripture. This comprehensive work provides a long-awaited tool that gives students a window to the scriptures that St. Augustine knew. To the student examining how the scriptures developed over the course of time, The Index yields valuable information about what was extant and available to St. Augustine.
