Abstract
The purpose of the work is to show that two recent philosophers whose views are in many respects divergent, R g collingwood and ludwig wittgenstein, Are in basic agreement with respect to the primary task of philosophy, Which is to search for liberating vision through accurate description of the multiple forms of life and experience and their relations. Detailed comparison is made of their views of experience, Language, Metaphysics, And religion. The underlying understanding of the task of philosophy which they share is commended as relevant to current discussion.
