Abstract

Graphical AbstractThe recent development of transgenic mouse strains depleted in basophils has helped in elucidating the diverse functions of basophils in the primary in secondary immune responses: from acting as antigen-presenting cells and contributing to B cell activation to their role in allergic inflammation, worm expulsion and tick resistance.
