Procedural and optimization implementation of the weighted ENSC value.Dongshuang Hou, Aymeric Lardon, Panfei Sun & Hao Sun - 2019 - Theory and Decision 87 (2):171-182.
The main purpose of this article is to introduce the weighted ENSC value for cooperative transferable utility games which takes into account players’ selfishness about the payoff allocations. Similar to Shapley’s idea of a one-by-one formation of the grand coalition [Shapley ], we first provide a procedural implementation of the weighted ENSC value depending on players’ selfishness as well as their marginal contributions to the grand coalition. Second, in the spirit of the nucleolus [Schmeidler ], we prove that the weighted (...)

Mediation of Resilience in the Association Between Personality Traits and Suicidal Ideation Among Chinese Adolescents.Yusan Che, Die Fang, Hailiang le CaiRan, Lin Chen, Sifan Wang, Junwei Peng, Hao Sun, Xuemeng Liang & Yuanyuan Xiao - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
A positive connection has been established between personality traits and suicidal ideation. However, the possible mediation of resilience within this association has never been thoroughly discussed. In this study, we aimed to investigate this topic by using population-based cross-sectional survey data of 4,489 Chinese children and adolescents. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect information from the participants. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression models were adopted to measure the crude and adjusted associations between personality traits, SI, and resilience. Path analysis (...)

Team idiosyncratic deals and team breakthrough innovation: Based on the perspective of input-process-output model.Zili Fan, Hao Sun, Lijun Wang, Mengting Zhu & Ting Peng - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
PurposeAs a new human resource management practice, idiosyncratic deals are personalized employment arrangements negotiated between employees and employers and intended to benefit them both. It plays an important role in attracting, retaining and motivating employees to promote breakthrough innovation. Based on the input-process-output model, this paper examines the relationship between team idiosyncratic deals and team breakthrough innovation, the mediating role of team exploratory-exploitative knowledge sharing, and the moderating roles of team transactive memory systems and team cognitive flexibility.Participants and methodsIn order (...)

Stability and Coexistence of a Diffusive Predator-Prey System with Nonmonotonic Functional Response and Fear Effect.Xiaozhou Feng, Hao Sun, Yangfan Xiao & Feng Xiao - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-10.
This paper investigates the diffusive predator-prey system with nonmonotonic functional response and fear effect. Firstly, we discussed the stability of the equilibrium solution for a corresponding ODE system. Secondly, we established a priori positive upper and lower bounds for the positive solutions of the PDE system. Thirdly, sufficient conditions for the local asymptotical stability of two positive equilibrium solutions of the system are given by using the method of eigenvalue spectrum analysis of linearization operator. Finally, the existence and nonexistence of (...)

Improved Doubly Robust Estimation in Marginal Mean Models for Dynamic Regimes.Brent A. Johnson, Xin Lu, Ashkan Ertefaie & Hao Sun - 2020 - Journal of Causal Inference 8 (1):300-314.
Doubly robust (DR) estimators are an important class of statistics derived from a theory of semiparametric efficiency. They have become a popular tool in causal inference, including applications to dynamic treatment regimes. The doubly robust estimators for the mean response to a dynamic treatment regime may be conceived through the augmented inverse probability weighted (AIPW) estimating function, defined as the sum of the inverse probability weighted (IPW) estimating function and an augmentation term. The IPW estimating function of the causal estimand (...)

Designing Journeys to the Social World: Hegel's Theory of Property and His Noble Dreams Revisited.Haochen Sun - 2010 - Cosmos and History 6 (1):33-59.
The conventional readings of Hegel’s theory of property show that property plays an important role in developing human individuality. In this paper, I repudiate the conventional readings and offer a new interpretation of Hegel’s theory of property. I aim to show that Hegel’s theory of property provides a vantage point for us to rethink the relationship between persons and the society in general and the nature of property in particular. Situated in the whole picture of Hegel’s social theory of freedom, (...)

Optimization implementation of solution concepts for cooperative games with stochastic payoffs.Panfei Sun, Dongshuang Hou & Hao Sun - 2022 - Theory and Decision 93 (4):691-724.
In this paper, we study solution concepts for cooperative games with stochastic payoffs. we define four kinds of solution concepts, namely the most coalitional (marginal) stable solution and the fairest coalitional (marginal) solution, by minimizing the total variance of excesses of coalitions (individual players). All these four concepts are optimal solutions of corresponding optimal problem under the least square criterion. It turns out that the fairest coalitional (marginal) solution belongs to the set of the most coalitional (marginal) stable solutions. Inspired (...)

The Compatibility between the Religious and the Nihilistic Currents in Dostoevsky’s World.Haozhan Sun - 2021 - Labyrinth: An International Journal for Philosophy, Value Theory and Sociocultural Hermeneutics 23 (1):39-58.
The goal of this essay is to show the compatibility between two currents in Dostoevsky's world, namely, the religious and the nihilistic. Based on Nietzsche's theory of nihilism and Deleuze's interpretation of Nietzsche, I introduce a dynamic model – reactive nihilism – a destructive force that annihilates fading values to clear the way for the advent of a new value. Through the textual analysis, primarily focusing on the religious dimension presented by saintly characters and biblical intertextuality in The Brothers Karamazov, (...)

The Dichotomized States of Shame in the Scholastic Buddhism.Hao Sun - 2021 - Journal of Dharma Studies 4 (3):329-342.
Shame is by and large dichotomized into hrī and apatrāpya in the Buddhist context. In the Sarvāstivāda and Yogācāra scholasticism, both hrī and apatrāpya are subsumed under the wholesome states. In this paper, firstly, previous studies and the etymologies of the two terms above will be closely reviewed; secondly, the exposition and contrast of hrī and apatrāpya between the Sarvāstivāda and Yogācāra will be minutely contextualized; thirdly, the merit of possessing dichotomized states of shame will be thoroughly investigated. Central to (...)

The Luxury Economy and Intellectual Property: Critical Reflections.Haochen Sun, Barton Carl Beebe & Madhavi Sunder (eds.) - 2015 - Oxford University Press USA.
Intellectual property law plays a pivotal role in ensuring that luxury goods companies can recoup their investments in the creation and dissemination of their copyrighted works, trademarked logos, and patented designs. In 2011, global sales for luxury goods reached about $250 billion, and consumers in East and Southeast Asia accounted for more than 50 percent of that figure. The rapid expansion of the market has prompted some retailers to wield intellectual property against the influx of imitators and counterfeiters. The Luxury (...)
