O artigo propõe uma análise crítica sobre o significado da recomendação do uso da vara na educação das crianças, em cinco ditos do livro bíblico de Provérbios. O objetivo é analisar, com auxílio da exegese, os provérbios em seu contexto literário, histórico e cultural; e interpretá-los hermeneuticamente para a realidade atual, com a proibição de bater em crianças. Com os pressupostos do método da exegese histórico-crítica, faz-se a análise do primeiro dito, que afirma textualmente: “Quem poupa a vara odeia seu (...) filho, mas quem o ama aplica a disciplina”. Segundo esse modelo de análise, são comentados os outros quatro provérbios. A recomendação do uso da vara, na Bíblia, visa a disciplina, para formar pessoas justas, conforme o projeto sapiencial, ilustrado no contexto literário de Pr 13, que fazia parte da metodologia comum ao Antigo Oriente Médio, como ilustram diversas citações paralelas. Entretanto, esse método disciplinar passou por aplicações mais rigoristas ao longo da história, para ser radicalmente revisto na moderna pedagogia. Conclui-se que a interpretação dessa prática antiga, para o mundo atual, exige hermenêutica apropriada, com a devida aplicação, conforme outras instruções recomendadas pela Bíblia, tais como apedrejar criminosos, não tocar cadáver e praticar a poligamia. From the observation that God is “ineffable and formless”, this article analyzes the use of the name of God in popular sayings of the Bible and of the present days. Although the Bible forbids making graven images of divinity, it abuses in the usage of the divine name and the metaphors of his attributes and his actions. This study aims to analyze the extensive use of the name of God in proverbs, both of biblical antiquity as of today life. After (...) the introductory considerations about the name of God in some religions, in the Bible and in the mouth of the people, it explains the wide citation of the name of God in the biblical book of Proverbs, in the context of all the Hebrew Bible. To analyze this reality, in parallel, the proverbs are grouped around the following issues: God in spontaneous popular interjections, God as provident creator, God as retributive for good and evil, and God as partner of humans in his ethics proposal for a good coexistence. The research aims to investigate the characteristics and risks associated with the handling of sensitive data in the implementation of public policies within the digital government model. To achieve this, a hypothetical-deductive method and bibliographic and documentary procedures are employed, proposing an interdisciplinary discussion on technological advancement, data protection, transparency, and public policies. The justification revolves around the importance of a comprehensive, cohesive system that genuinely protects sensitive personal data, considering the need to keep pace with technological developments and maintain (...) a minimum level of security in the digital age at both national and international levels. There is no doubt that the judicious and strategic use of data has the potential to drive substantial improvements in policy evaluation, decision-making, and the relationship between government and citizens.
