Machine Learning Techniques for Quantification of Knee Segmentation from MRI.Sujeet More, Jimmy Singla, Ahed Abugabah & Ahmad Ali AlZubi - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-13.
Magnetic resonance imaging is precise and efficient for interpreting the soft and hard tissues. Moreover, for the detailed diagnosis of varied diseases such as knee rheumatoid arthritis, segmentation of the knee magnetic resonance image is a challenging and complex task that has been explored broadly. However, the accuracy and reproducibility of segmentation approaches may require prior extraction of tissues from MR images. The advances in computational methods for segmentation are reliant on several parameters such as the complexity of the tissue, (...)

Prediction of Big Data Analytics (BDA) on Social Media: Empirical Study.Ahed J. Alkhatib, Shadi Mohammad Alkhatib & Hani Bani Salameh - 2020 - Dialogo 7 (1):225-240.
Currently, most studies are moving towards Big Data Analytics because they are important in research, and this is becoming increasingly important as Internet and Web 2.0 technologies become increasingly popular and how to handle this massive data. Moreover, this proliferation of the Internet and social media has revolutionized the search process. With this Big Data of data generated by users using social media or electronic platforms, the use of these details and daily activities is integrated with tools designed for analysis. (...)

Sense of agency over thought: External misattribution of thought in a memory task and proneness to auditory hallucination.Eriko Sugimori, Tomohisa Asai & Yoshihiko Tanno - 2011 - Consciousness and Cognition 20 (3):688-695.
Previous studies have suggested that auditory hallucination is closely related to thought insertion. In this study, we investigated the relationship between the external misattribution of thought and auditory hallucination-like experiences. We used the AHES-17, which measures auditory hallucination-like experiences in normal, healthy people, and the Deese–Roediger–McDermott paradigm, in which false alarms of critical lure are regarded as spontaneous external misattribution of thought. We found that critical lures elicited increased the number of false alarms as AHES-17 scores increased and that scores (...)

Studies in Babylonian lunar theory: part III. The introduction of the uniform zodiac.John P. Britton - 2010 - Archive for History of Exact Sciences 64 (6):617-663.
This paper is the third of a multi-part examination of the Babylonian mathematical lunar theories known as Systems A and B. Part I (Britton, AHES 61:83–145, 2007) addressed the development of the empirical elements needed to separate the effects of lunar and solar anomaly on the intervals between syzygies, accomplished in the construction of the System A lunar theory early in the fourth century B.C. Part II (Britton, AHES 63:357–431, 2009) examines the accomplishment of this separation by the construction of (...)

Toward a Case Definition of Adverse Health Effects in the Environs of Industrial Wind Turbines: Facilitating a Clinical Diagnosis.Robert Y. McMurtry - 2011 - Bulletin of Science, Technology and Society 31 (4):316-320.
Internationally, there are reports of adverse health effects (AHE) in the environs of industrial wind turbines (IWT). There was multidisciplinary confirmation of the key characteristics of the AHE at the first international symposium on AHE/iwt. The symptoms being reported are consistent internationally and are characterized by crossover findings or a predictable appearance of signs and symptoms present with exposure to IWT sound energy and amelioration when the exposure ceases. There is also a revealed preference of victims to seek restoration away (...)
