Bruno Latour: New Challenges and Inspirations in Political Ecology.Ivan Buraj - 2023 - Studia Philosophiae Christianae 59 (1):49-68.
Political ecology is a recent development in contemporary scholarship. Contrary to popular belief, the French philosopher Bruno Latour was not its originator. Some scholars began to recognise that nature and politics were closely connected back to the time of Montesquieu. Nonetheless, Latour’s political ecology is original in that it features new or revamped concepts that lend it new content and meaning. It includes concepts such as ‘mode of existence,’ ‘actor/network,’ ‘humans’ and ‘non-humans,’ ‘terrestrial’ or ‘Earthbound,’ and offers a new interpretation (...)

  6. Historical event as a philosophical problem (Foucault's concept of event).I. Buraj - 2004 - Filozofia 59 (1):20-30.
Drawing on Foucault the author tries to answer the questions such as What is actually an event?, What is it that makes an usual phenomenon an event?, What is it that makes a historical event to emerge out of a set of banal events? 9. Power in the Structure of Power Relations.Ivan Buraj - 2010 - Filozofia 65 (5):417-427.
There is nothing like power in itself. What we can experience is only the particular forms and effects of the power relations. Similarly, there is no single and universal definition of power. The concept of power embodies its various relations and aspects, such as power relations, the relationships between power and institutions, go- vernment, influence, authority, coercion, violence, manipulation, freedom. Attention is paid to each of these relationships and aspects. Their interconnections and differences are shown as well.
