On Javanese philosophy of leadership and political ethics.

The research is focused on the behavioral pattern of achievement-oriented leadership and its relationship with achievement motivation and the application of organization culture on cooperative (KUD & Kopontren) in ecosystem level (mountainous, upland, & coastal areas) in West Java. The results of the research show that the behavioral patterns of leadership of the chairman and manager (KUD & Kopontren) are not yet achievement-oriented on all ecosystem levels in West Java the achievement motivation of cooperative personnel is relatively low and the (...) application of cooperative organization culture is generally limited. There is positive correlation among the three research variables and the behavioral patterns of achievement leadership is significantly different in two kinds of cooperative (KUD & Kopontren), albeit having no significant difference on achievement motivation and the application of cooperative organization culture variables. In addition, there is extreme correlation in the three variables of the research on the coastal areas compared with the mountainous and upland areas especially those near the town. Hence, in West Java the results of research concludes that cooperative (KUD & Kopontren) has not yet been done profesionally, not achievement-oriented with weak initiative and low civilization. Accordingly, it is required to have a change of cooperative leadership pattern being oriented in achievement and application of cooperative organization culture based on moral and Moslem religion. Specifically, the aim of this study is to see the role and correlation between transformational and transactional leadership with effective followership. Using multiple regression, research found that transformational leadership had positive and significant correlation with effective followership but transactional leadership didn’t have significant effect. Regression model proves that transformational and transactional can be used to predict effective followership.  .

This paper attempts to examine the leadership competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in the areas of Islamic theology and Morality with the qualification of Bachelor Degree and pesantren-assigned teachers graduated from IslamicSenior High School and factors that influence it. PAI teachers with the qualification of S1 or those who have pedagogical competence are believed to have higher leadership competencies, and vice versa,pesantren-assigned teachers with secondary level education qualification, have lower leadership competence. The results show a contrasting real picture of (...) the phenomenon. This reality is interesting to examine further in order to find the pattern to increase the competence of teachers in accordance with the needs of madrasahs/schools. This study uses a combination of methods, quantitative supported by the analysis of qualitative data by taking the population of Islamic Theology and Morality teachers who teach in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The results of the analysis illustrate the average value of the competence of PAI teachers with S1 qualification which is 55.8333 and pesantren-assigned teachers which is 51.4000 with the mean of difference 4.43333. Although there is an average difference, it is not so significant. The level of significance is only 0.040 which means <0.05. Based on the statistical calculation, there is no difference in leadership competence among S1 graduated teachers and pesantren-assigned teachers. Qualitative data analysis shows that there are structural factors that negatively affect the achievement of the competence of PAI teachers with S1 qualification. On the other hand, the positive achievement of leadership competence of pesantren-assigned teachers is influenced by the success of technical guidance, strict recruitment, and habituation as peer teacher while they were in pesantren. There is a relative deprivation phenomenon that emerged among PAI teachers who have had academic competence. The various structural policy packages issued by the government that is ideally projected to improve competence, including the leadership competence of the teachers, have a negative impact in the implementation realm. In particular, policies highlight more on improving learning administrative governance aspects which result in a decrease of teachers creative ability in learning. (shrink)

Nurses’ job satisfaction is the most important thing in health care business science the attitudes and the behaviors of the nurses could affects the health care services quality. The objectives of this study is to find out whether there are direct or indirect effects from the perception of transactional leadership, perception of transformational leadership, perception of distributive justice, perception of procedural justice, to job satisfaction. The samples of this study consist of 132 nurses from X hospital. The measurement instruments which (...) had been used consist of perception of Leadership style measurement instrument, perception of distributive justice measurement instrument, perception of procedural justice measurement instrument, and job satisfaction measurement instrument which later the result was calculated by using the program LISREL. The great numbers of service industrial is moving in insurance field have made insurance salespeople’s job more difficult and full challenge. This condition makes that insurance salespeople ought to have self efficacy. Self efficacy is a confidance about self capability to run his job with success, also to control the conditions around for attaining the success. Self efficacy can be influenced by perception of transformational leadership style from direct superior. The subject of this research is 102 insurance salespeople in a (...) private life insurance company. Data gathering by questionnaires and analized by product moment correlation, and regression analysis to analized the dimensions. The result have proven that the hypothesis in this research is accepted, that there is a very significant positive relationship between perception of transformational leadership style from direct superior to insurance salespeople’s self efficacy (r = 0,473; p (two tailed) = 0,000 and p (one tailed) = 0,000). Akhir-akhir ini, komunitas burung dilanda kegelisahan akibat kedatangan beberapa Pelikan yang aneh. Orang-orang ini di sini untuk mencari nafkah. Hanya tiga orang, tapi ini adalah kelompok pekerja keras, memangsa ikan dari pagi hingga tengah malam. Melihat ini, Tuan Pekakak merasa kesemutan dan memutuskan untuk mengadakan suatu pertemuan komunitas saat malam. Untuk menghormatinya, burung-burung, kecuali Nona Bangau, menghilangkan rasa kantuk mereka dan hadir. Pada pertemuan itu, Pekakak meminta semua orang untuk mencela Pelikan dan menyimpulkan bahwa mereka sulit diatur sehingga para penyusup (...) ini harus diusir. (shrink)

Tulisan ini merupakan sebuah kajian yang berusaha menggali konsep penggembalaan dan relasinya dengan ekaristi dalam Yohanes 21:15-19. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan eksegetis, penulis mencoba menyoroti kata demi kata, baik secara etimologis maupun konteks, serta melakukan survey Injil Yohanes secara komprehensif, agar dapat melihat secara luas mengenai Injil yang dirujuk, dan kemudian berfokus seputar Yohanes 21 mengenai dialog antara Yesus dan Petrus, dengan mengoneksikannya dengan konteks dekat, yaitu Yohanes 21:1-14 dan Yohanes 21:20-23, maupun konteks jauh, yaitu keseluruhan Injil Yohanes. Selain itu, dalam (...) tulisan ini penulis melakukan beberapa kritik terhadap beberapa pandangan lama yang dinilai sudah tidak relevan, sehingga mengganggu pemaknaan teks yang dirujuk. Pada akhirnya, penulis mengonstruksi penggembalaan dengan ekaristi, sehingga dapat ditemukan sebuah pemahaman baru akan penggembalaan sebagai sebuah praktik dari ekaristi, yakni penggembalaan bukan sekedar praktik gerejawi atau kepemimpinan semata, melainkan sebuah kerelaan memberikan seluruh aspek kehidupan, bahkan nyawa untuk kehidupan domba-dombanya, dengan berbasis pada kematian Kristus yang menghidupkan orang percaya, sebagaimana perintah Yesus bagi Petrus dalam Yohanes 21:15-19.
