Patients’ perception of dignity in Iranian general hospital settings.Fahimeh Alsadat Hosseini, Marzieh Momennasab, Shahrzad Yektatalab & Armin Zareiyan - 2019 - Nursing Ethics 26 (6):1777-1790.
Background: Dignified care is one of the main objectives of holistic care. Furthermore, paying attention to dignity as one of the fundamental rights of patients is extremely important. However, in many cases, the dignity of hospitalized patients is not considered. Dignity is an abstract concept, and comprehensive studies of the dignity of Iranian patients hospitalized in general hospital settings are limited. Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the concept of dignity from the perspective of patients hospitalized in (...)

    An Accurate Approximate-Analytical Technique for Solving Time-Fractional Partial Differential Equations.M. Bishehniasar, S. Salahshour, A. Ahmadian, F. Ismail & D. Baleanu - 2017 - Complexity:1-12.
The demand of many scientific areas for the usage of fractional partial differential equations to explain their real-world systems has been broadly identified. The solutions may portray dynamical behaviors of various particles such as chemicals and cells. The desire of obtaining approximate solutions to treat these equations aims to overcome the mathematical complexity of modeling the relevant phenomena in nature. This research proposes a promising approximate-analytical scheme that is an accurate technique for solving a variety of noninteger partial differential equations. (...)

  6. An Attempt to Modeling Fundamental Needs(First Draft,This papaer needs a correction)).Farzad Didehvar, Shabnam Rahimi & Sepideh Ahmadian - manuscript
(THIS PAPER NEEDS A CORRECTION) Satisfaction is a complex concept which has a key role in each individual’s everyday life and impacts their behavior. Abraham Maslow (1943) suggested a framework [1] to study human motivation, which was a starting point towards developing the quality of life(QOL) theory. On that article, he described a hierarchy of human needs, that is generally consist of fundamental needs which are required for human survival, and environment dependent ones, like society, safety and etc. In this (...)

Factors affecting moral distress in nurses working in intensive care units: A systematic review.Foroozan Atashzadeh-Shoorideh, Faraz Tayyar-Iravanlou, Zeynab Ahmadian Chashmi, Fatemeh Abdi & Rosana Svetic Cisic - 2021 - Clinical Ethics 16 (1):25-36.
Background Moral distress is a major issue in intensive care units that requires immediate attention since it can cause nurses to burnout. Given the special conditions of patients in intensive care units and the importance of the mental health of nurses, the present study was designed to systematically review the factors affecting moral distress in nurses working in intensive care units. Methods PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Scopus, and Science Direct were systematically searched for papers published between 2009 and 2019. (...)

A Framework for Future-Oriented Assessment of Converging Technologies at National Level.Sepehr Ghazinoory, Mehdi Fatemi, Fatemeh Saghafi, Abbas Ali Ahmadian & Shiva Tatina - 2023 - NanoEthics 17 (2):1-28.
Converging technologies require intelligent policy-making as they have significant capabilities to develop disruptive innovations. In this regard, future-oriented technology assessment is vital given the great uncertainty about the consequences of and barriers to accessing these technologies. However, few frameworks have been developed to evaluate converging technologies, and most of those have neglected the unique dimensions of these technologies. Therefore, this study aims to provide a policymaking framework for converging technology development. Accordingly, the proposed framework is designed through a meta-synthesis of (...)

A Practice-Inspired Mindset for Researching the Psychophysiological and Medical Health Effects of Recreational Dance (Dance Sport).Julia F. Christensen, Meghedi Vartanian, Luisa Sancho-Escanero, Shahrzad Khorsandi, S. H. N. Yazdi, Fahimeh Farahi, Khatereh Borhani & Antoni Gomila - 2021 - Frontiers in Psychology 11:588948.
“Dance” has been associated with many psychophysiological and medical health effects. However, varying definitions of what constitute “dance” have led to a rather heterogenous body of evidence about such potential effects, leaving the picture piecemeal at best. It remains unclear what exact parameters may be driving positive effects. We believe that this heterogeneity of evidence is partly due to a lack of a clear definition of dance for such empirical purposes. A differentiation is needed between (a) the effects on the (...)

Coping with weight stigma: Validation of the Persian brief coping responses inventory with Iranian adolescents sample.Leila Kargari Padar, Ali Asghar Asgharnejad Farid, Fahimeh Fathali Lavasani, Hojjatollah Farahani & Banafsheh Gharaei - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
Individuals who are overweight or obese encounter frequent weight-related stigma experiences, which are associated with negative health outcomes. In this regard, the Brief Coping Responses Inventory was developed as a measure of core coping responses to weight stigma, with 10 items loading on two subscales of reappraisal and Disengagement coping. The current study aimed to examine the psychometric properties of the Persian BCRI with 253 Iranian school-attending youth who had BMI score over 30. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis (...)

Different Solution Strategies for Solving Epidemic Model in Imprecise Environment.Animesh Mahata, Sankar Prasad Mondal, Ali Ahmadian, Fudiah Ismail, Shariful Alam & Soheil Salahshour - 2018 - Complexity 2018:1-18.
We study the different solution strategy for solving epidemic model in different imprecise environment, that is, a Susceptible-Infected-Susceptible model in imprecise environment. The imprecise parameter is also taken as fuzzy and interval environment. Three different solution procedures for solving governing fuzzy differential equation, that is, fuzzy differential inclusion method, extension principle method, and fuzzy derivative approaches, are considered. The interval differential equation is also solved. The numerical results are discussed for all approaches in different imprecise environment.
