Social responsibility reporting of Islamic banks: evidence from Indonesia.Faizah Darus, Hasan Fauzi, Yadi Purwanto, Haslinda Yusoff, Azlan Amran, Mustaffa Mohamed Zain, Dayang Milianna Abang Naim & Mehran Nejati - 2014 - International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics 9 (4):356.
There is a growing global interest in social responsibility and sustainability across all sectors. Other than economic performance, stakeholders are now also concerned about the social and environmental impacts of corporations. Additionally, stakeholders are obtaining a higher salience level and expect organisations to operate sustainably. The banking sector has not been an exception, as banks can have significant impact on their customers, employees, and society in various ways. Given the intertwined links of Islam and ethical principles, it is expected that (...)

Asymptotic Behavior of a Chemostat Model with Constant Recycle Sludge Concentration.Karim Yadi & Mohamed Amine Hamra - 2017 - Acta Biotheoretica 65 (3):233-252.
In this work, we study a several species aerobic chemostat model with constant recycle sludge concentration in continuous culture. We reduce the number of parameters by considering a dimensionless model. First, the existence of a global positive uniform attractor for the model with different removal rates is proved using the theory of dissipative dynamical systems. Hence, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of the model under small perturbations using methods of singular perturbation theory and we prove that, in the case of (...)

Fichte and Hegel on Advancing from the Beginning.Yady Oren - 2024 - Review of Metaphysics 77 (3):483-508.
In the Science of Logic, Hegel criticizes Fichte's Wissenschaftslehre for advancing from the beginning through external reflection and thus failing to understand both the nature of the beginning and the proper method to advance from it. This article shows that Fichte's advance from the beginning preempts Hegel's critique and shares Hegel's premises with respect to the method of advancing. The author first analyzes Hegel's critique of Fichte in the Science of Logic, which he follows by showing that Fichte levels a (...)

The Relationship Between Fear of COVID-19 and Online Aggressive Behavior: A Moderated Mediation Model.Baojuan Ye, Yadi Zeng, Hohjin Im, Mingfan Liu, Xinqiang Wang & Qiang Yang - 2021 - Frontiers in Psychology 12.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, fear has run rampant across the globe. To curb the spread of the virus, several governments have taken measures to drastically transition businesses, work, and schooling to virtual settings. While such transitions are warranted and well-intended, these measures may come with unforeseen consequences. Namely, one’s fear of COVID-19 may more readily manifest as aggressive behaviors in an otherwise incognito virtual social ecology. In the current research, a moderated mediation model examined the mechanisms underlying the relation between (...)

    Fichte's Turn from Absolute I to Absolute Knowledge.Yady Oren - 2022 - Idealistic Studies 52 (2):157-178.
Fichte’s Wissenschaftslehre of 1801/2 is considered to be the beginning of his late phase. In this phase he supposedly alters his earlier thinking and, instead of the transcendental unity of the I, conceptualizes a higher transcendent and simple unity; a unity that has been claimed to correspond to Neoplatonism. I refute these two arguments here. First, through a comparison between the Wissenschaftslehre of 1801/2 and that of 1794/5, I show that both versions contain a similar analysis of the supreme unity. (...)

The Intolerance of Uncertainty and “Untact” Buying Behavior: The Mediating Role of the Perceived Risk of COVID-19 Variants and Protection Motivation.Shunying Zhao, Baojuan Ye, Weisha Wang & Yadi Zeng - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
Draw on the protection motivation theory, this study investigated the impacts of intolerance of uncertainty on “untact” buying behavior, and examined the sequential mediating role of the perceived risk of COVID-19 variants and protection motivation. A total of 1,564 young individuals participated in the survey. The serial mediation analysis results reveal that intolerance of uncertainty influences one’s “untact” buying behavior through “perceived risk of COVID-19 variants - protection motivation.” Both internal and external factors worked together to accelerate the transition of (...)

Study Protocol for the Evaluation of Individual Psychological Interventions for Family Caregivers of Advanced Cancer Patients.Min Yang, Rui Sun, Yanfeng Wang, Haiyan Xu, Baohua Zou, Yanmin Yang, Minghua Cong, Yadi Zheng, Lei Yu, Fei Ma, Tinglin Qiu & Jiang Li - 2021 - Frontiers in Psychology 11.
Background: Both anxiety and depression in family caregivers of advanced cancer patients are common, and they have a negative influence on both the FCs and the patients. Some studies suggested that a variety of interventions could alleviate the psychological symptoms of FCs. However, there is no consensus on much more effective methods for intervention, and relatively high-quality research is blank in psychological problems of these population in China. The validity of mindfulness-based stress reduction and psychological consultation guided by the needs (...)
