Questo volume contiene una nuova edizione degli scoli relativi ai dialoghi delle prime sette tetralogie, fondata su una completa collazione dei testimoni principali, aumentati di due unità rispetto all’edizione precedente, e corredata da un apparato di fonti e paralleli, il cui rapporto con gli scoli è stato del tutto rimeditato alla luce delle recenti acquisizioni della critica.

Von dem Gesetzestraktat der Summa Halensis lag bislang nur der lateinische Text in einer kritischen Edition aus dem Jahr 1948 vor. Mit der dreibändigen Publikation werden nun erstmals zusammen mit dem lateinischen Text auch eine deutsche Übersetzung und ein Kommentar zu diesem bedeutenden Werk im Übergang von der Früh- zur Hochscholastik vorgelegt. In konzeptioneller Hinsicht war dieser Traktat mit seiner Begründung und Entfaltung der unterschiedlichen Ausprägungen des Gesetzes - als ewiges Gesetz, Naturgesetz, mosaisches Gesetz und evangelisches Gesetz - grundlegend. (...) Seine umfangreiche Auslegung des mosaischen Gesetzes weist zudem konkrete Bezüge zur Lebens- und Glaubenswelt auf, die für die Kultur- und Sozialgeschichte dieser Zeit aufschlussreich sind. Auch im Blick auf die Hinwendung zur Tora in der gegenwärtigen Theologie und im Zusammenhang mit den interreligiösen und gesellschaftspolitischen Diskursen über das Gesetzesverständnis verdient der Gesetzestraktat der Summa Halensis Beachtung, weil er in vielfältiger Hinsicht zur Reflexion über die Funktion des Gesetzes sowie den Zusammenhang von Theologie und Recht anregt. In this paper, I have explored and examined al-Farabi short treatise on fourteen ancient Greek proper names that somehow all of them are related to wisdom. Al-Farabi explicit intention as a philosopher/philologist is to "interpret" them and accordingly here his possible conception and meaning of this term within a short exotic onomasticon of non-Arabic proper names is examined.

La contribución de Domingo Gundisalvo a la historia de la filosofía medieval ha sido de fundamental importancia especialmente por su originalidad y sincretismo. Sin embargo, la recepción explícita de las obras de Gundisalvo en el siglo XIII ha sido explorada sólo parcialmente. Este artículo discute el problema desde un punto de vista metodológico a través del examen de un caso particular: la influencia de las obras de Gundisalvo en la Summa Halensis. Después de haber presentado los problemas principales de (...) un análisis del impacto de Gundisalvo en el siglo XIII, el artículo discute algunos ejemplos de la influencia explicita en Roger Bacon y Thomas de York. La ultima parte de la contribución examina el uso del De unitate et uno de Gundisalvo por parte de los autores de la Summa Halensis y un posible ejemplo de influencia implícita de otros textos gundisalvianos en esta obra. A Reader in Early Franciscan Theology presents for the first time in English key passages from the Summa Halensis, one of the first major installments in the summa genre for which scholasticism became famous. This systematic work of philosophy and theology was collaboratively written mostly between 1236 and 1245 by the founding members of the Franciscan school, such as Alexander of Hales and John of La Rochelle, who worked at the recently founded University of Paris. Modern scholarship has often (...) dismissed this early Franciscan intellectual tradition as unoriginal, merely systematizing the Augustinian tradition in light of the rediscovery of Aristotle, paving the way for truly revolutionary figures like John Duns Scotus.
