A partir de la Melancolía de Lucas Cranach de 1532, se indaga el linaje cartesiano de los vértigos de incertidumbre que sufre Antoine Roquentin, el protagonista de La náusea satreana. Se aborda en estas páginas cierto síndrome consistente en la dificultad de discernimiento entre cuanto sucede fuera de la conciencia y cuanto no es más que representación mental, para sostener que es esta ambigüedad la condición de posibilidad de la conciencia moderna, la de una conciencia sostenida en su misma contingencia.

Se dedican estas páginas a unos pocos comentarios surgidos de la lectura del libro de Larry Shiner "La invención del arte". Una historia cultural . Además de apreciable por sus contenidos, esta obra destaca por sus implicaciones epistemológicas, no siempre explicitadas, y su capacidad para reunir procedimientos historiográficos y objetos intelectuales de diversas disciplinas afines a lo artístico. Bajo la exigencia de una "historia cultural" Shiner consigue que la teoría estética y la teoría a artística, instituidas en la modernidad, se (...) encuentren con otros factores, materiales, como el mercado, el origen del público o la aparición de las casas de subastas, habitualmente poco presentes en los índices de las historias del arte y de la estética de mayor divulgación. In this contribution, we use the connection between stable polynomials and orthogonal polynomials on the real line to construct sequences of Hurwitz polynomials that are robustly stable in terms of several uncertain parameters. These sequences are constructed by using properties of orthogonal polynomials, such as the well-known three-term recurrence relation, as well as by considering linear combinations of two orthogonal polynomials with consecutive degree. Some examples are presented.

La presente investigación hace una revisión de la producción académica publicada sobre educación religiosa escolar entre los años 1991-2020 en Hispanoamérica, donde la ERE ha estado presente en los sistemas educativos en estos países a partir de la primera evangelización desde la época de la colonia, cambiando de finalidades, métodos y formatos. Entender su lugar en la escuela actual requiere identificar los cambios históricos, de contexto y finalidad, y las distintas preocupaciones de sus actores educativos. La investigación hace una revisión (...) general de las publicaciones de la región, puntualizando en el caso colombiano, argentino, mexicano y uruguayo. La metodología usa un análisis de contenido que identifica tres niveles de análisis del texto: de superficie, analítico e interpretativo. Los hallazgos se clasificaron en cinco temáticas: 1) análisis jurídicos; 2) estudios historiográficos; 3) análisis sobre las nuevas realidades sociales y educativas; 4) análisis de los currículos y la práctica pedagógica del maestro; y, 5) fundamentación epistemológica de la ERE. La revisión permite concluir que el tipo de educación religiosa escolar de cada país en Hispanoamérica está determinado por la comprensión de laicidad que cada país tenga en su ordenamiento constitucional y por las complejas trayectorias históricas de las relaciones Iglesia – Estado en su consolidación como nación. Además, los documentos dan cuenta de diversidad de enfoques y preocupaciones por la necesidad –o no- de una educación religiosa fundamentada teológica y pedagógicamente, para un contexto religioso y cultural claramente diverso y plural en el cual se encuentran jóvenes y adolescentes que asisten a la escuela, algunos en búsqueda de identidad y sentido de vida. Podríamos iniciar estas líneas de acercamiento al problema, poliédrico y espejeante, que los autores aquí reunidos han sabido tratar acudiendo a la arquelogía de cierto vértigo de la conciencia sobre el que se constituye la subjetividad moderna. Para ello, cabría acudir al primer gran umbral de pérdida del equilibrio, para encontrarnos con la desfundamentación renacentista de la idea de cosmos. Nuestro relato, en tal caso, tendría su origen en la disolución del mundo en las cosas, de los universales en los (...) particulares, de la metafísica en la antropognosis. También sería posible alcanzar a Descartes –guiados quizás por Monsieur Teste y sus «excesos de conciencia de sí»– e instalarnos en los abismos fantasmagóricos de la pérdida de la evidencia inmediata (procurándose, perversamente, modernamente, la evidencia filosófica…). O detenernos en los surgimientos de la función imaginante según la define Kant en la Crítica del juicio en términos ya productivos, y continuar, si así lo quisiéramos, hacia aquel Salon de 1859 en el que Baudelaire atribuye a la imaginación la doble capacidad de descomponer lo recibido por la percepción, llenándose así la cultura europea de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX de fantasmas antiplatónicos; o sea, de imágenes soberanas con potencia para inquietarnos. Haciendo de este modo recuento de derrumbes (del Cosmos y de la Evidencia) y apariciones (la de una máquina de coser y un paraguas sobre una mesa de disección, los espectros mirados por Odilon Redon, las palabras absolutas de Mallármé), obtendríamos un itinerario preciso por el que determinar qué habríamos de entender con la expresión que da título a esta volumen: poéticas del extrañamiento. Las páginas que siguen se ordenan a través de ciertos motivos filosóficos y artísticos posibilitantes y constitutivos de la experiencia moderna de extrañamiento: primero indagaremos en la confrontación nietzscheana entre arte y verdad, procurando extraer de ella algunas pistas hermenéuticas, y a continuación se buscarán las condiciones para observar cómo hacia la mitad del siglo XIX se asiste a una querella entre las imágenes y los signos, afanadas las primeras en desprenderse, desplegando recursos propios, de su subordinación tradicional –al menos (...) desde el academicismo del siglo XVII– a las exigencias de la siginificación. De este modo podremos dotarnos de la perspectiva necesaria para comprender la estrecha ligazón de la soberanía artísticas de las imágenes con el destino inauguralmente moderno de inversión del platonismo. En The paradox of Addition and its dissolution (1969), Mario Bunge presenta algunos argumentos para mostrar que la Regla de Adición puede ocasionar paradojas o problemas semánticos. Posteriormente, Margáin (1972) y Robles (1976) mostraron que las afirmaciones de Bunge son insostenibles, al menos desde el punto de vista de la lógica clásica. Aunque estamos de acuerdo con las críticas de Margáin y Robles, no estamos de acuerdo en el diagnóstico del origen del problema y tampoco con la manera en la (...) que se proponen solucionarlo. En esta medida, en este texto mostraremos cómo la Regla de Adición sí trae problemas semánticos que pueden ser planteados desde diferentes perspectivas contemporáneas, como la extensionalidad del condicional, los principios proscriptivos y la validez conexiva. The use of conventional manufacturing methods is mainly limited by the size of the production run and the geometrical complexity of the component, and as a result we are occasionally forced to use processes and tools that increase the final cost of the element being produced. Additive manufacturing techniques provide major competitive advantages due to the fact that they adapt to the geometrical complexity and customised design of the part to be manufactured. The following may also be achieved according to (...) field of application: lighter weight products, multimaterial products, ergonomic products, efficient short production runs, fewer assembly errors and, therefore, lower associated costs, lower tool investment costs, a combination of different manufacturing processes, an optimised use of materials, and a more sustainable manufacturing process. Additive manufacturing is seen as being one of the major revolutionary industrial processes of the next few years. Additive manufacturing has several alternatives ranging from simple RepRap machines to complex fused metal deposition systems. This paper will expand upon the structural design of the machines, their history, classification, the alternatives existing today, materials used and their characteristics, the technology limitations, and also the prospects that are opening up for different technologies both in the professional field of innovation and the academic field of research. The relevance of smart speakers is steadily increasing, allowing users perform several daily tasks. From a commercial perspective, smart speakers also provide recommendations of products and services that may influence the consumer decision-making process. However, previous studies have mainly focused on the adoption of smart speakers, but there is a lack of proper guidelines that help design the way these devices should offer their consumption recommendations. Based on a stimulus-organism-response approach, we analyze how two features of smart speakers' recommendations influence (...) on the effectiveness of such recommendations through its impact on user engagement and attitude. Data was collected from a sample of undergrad students in Spain using an experiment design that focused on a restaurant recommendation, and analyzed using partial least squares. On the one hand, our results suggests that gender congruence generates user engagement with the smart speaker. On the other hand, message length is positively related to attitudes towards the restaurant, at a declining rate. In addition, while better attitudes lead to higher visiting intentions, the influence of engagement on visiting intentions is partially mediated via attitudes. Thus, our findings contribute to understand the antecedents of users' engagement with smart speakers, as well as its impact on the customers' willingness to follow smart speakers' recommendations, constituting a base to analyze the impact of artificial intelligence solutions aimed to smooth the transitions of a customer through the stages of purchase process. ABSTRACT Modernity conceived prison as a primary vehicle for the humanization of criminal punishment. Contrarily to this theoretical and normative model, the practice of imprisonment has conserved several elements of the physical and psychological affliction typical of pre-modern forms of criminal retribution. Prison actually embodies a major theme of dystopian fiction because of the useless suffering it somehow implies. Nonetheless, the concrete dystopian experience of incarceration has frequently been challenged by the utopian horizons of opera, which Charles Fourier once conceived (...) as a passionate pivot for social change. From Fidelio to The Shawshank Redemption, opera has represented a utopian wonder of voices that soar “higher and farther than anybody in a grey place dares to dream.” Surrounded by the walls of prison, opera is not merely a snobbish artistry: it may constitute a real pre-text for the rights and dignity even infamous men and women deserve. PurposeThis study aims to review the theory based on «otherness» as a form of social exclusion and symbolic violence from the constructions of realities of the media, with particular emphasis on the ethics and aesthetics of language and its role in materializing identity differences.Design/methodology/approachA search for specific criteria andbooleanalgorithms is carried out in Web of Science and Scopus on «otherness» [AND] «social exclusion», to then submit the emerging results to a co-occurrence matrix by citations with VOSViewer v. 1.6.13. From the (...) relation tree of the most cited documents [min = 7] of the downloaded articles, a critical/analytical reading is made.Findings«Otherness» is reviewed to a greater extent from a Western perspective, and more specifically, from a Eurocentric one. This implies that the study of «otherness» is not sufficiently analyzed by Asian or African authors, who are excluded from the analysis. In this sense, «otherness» is understood as a theoretical construct and as any symbolic construction of the other (phenotypically, but also in ideology, values and customs), but which carries a load of stereotypes that can become polarization, demonization, ergo and violence.Originality/valueRevisiting «otherness» as an informative construct becomes imperative in light of the emergence of extremist groups and xenophobic parties, as well as separatist policies such as Brexit or the Catalan split in Spain. Few articles contribute to elaborating a complete conceptual construct on «otherness» as an epistemological category of communication and information, so this research effort attempts to compile its theoretical discussion. The present research describes a novel adaptive anomaly detection method to optimize the performance of nonlinear and time-varying systems. The proposal integrates a centroid-based approach with the real-time identification technique Recursive Least Squares. In order to find anomalies, the approach compares the present system dynamics with the average (centroid) of the dynamics found in earlier states for a given setpoint. The system labels the dynamics difference as an anomaly if it rises over a determinate threshold. To validate the proposal, two (...) different datasets obtained from a level control plant operation have been used, to which anomalies have been artificially added. The results shown have determined a satisfactory performance of the method, especially in those processes with low noise. (shrink)

En la presente investigación se valoran las prácticas inclusivas de 6 1 docentes de educación básica de Colima, Sonora y San Luis Potosí adscritos a escuelas urbanas y rurales de México nominadas como exitosas. Se aplicaron varios instrumentos, como la GEPIA, la SACIE, el TEIP, el Cuestionario para Favorecer los Aprendizajes de Mitchell y el Protocolo C ODCA.

In contrast with the realist philosophical tradition which situates being at the apex of the transcendentals, the line of thought that originates from Descartes replaces it with truth understood as certainty. The conflict between realism and idealism is one of the most fecund philosophical disputes in the last two centuries; and Millán-Puelles, one of the foremost Spanish philosophers is a principal protagonist.

The merely possible is a sort of pure object, framed in the background of the general chart of the unreal feasibly non-existent, and defined by the uncontradictoriety and the fitness for to exist. In this paper are studied, according to Millán-Puelles, some objections and controversies about that concept. It is enphasized the theory of Leibniz concerning to the exigentia existentiae of the possible. This article tries to show that the ens rationis is nothing else but one of the most relevant cases of the pure object. To reach this conclusión, the different position regarding the pure object as those of Meinong, Hartmann Millán-Puelles and the Schoolmen are examined.

En este trabajo se ofrece un acercamiento explicativo al surgimiento del nominalismo medieval desde la perspectiva planteada por el historiador argentino José Luis Romero. Romero sugiere que existe una doble fuente, a saber, una histórica y otra filosófica. La primera de esas sería de orden empírico y correspondería a la burguesía y a su mentalidad. La segunda fuente, la académica, sería la que surge de la conocida querella de los universales durante los siglos XI y XII. Estas (...) dos fuentes habrían sido la condición de posibilidad de posteriores desarrollos teóricos del nominalismo, los cuales suprimirán la idea de universal como algo real y sostendrán que lo único real son las cosas concretas, sensibles, mientras que los conceptos constituyen palabras vacías.
