Attitude Control with Auxiliary Structure Based on Adaptive Dynamic Programming for Reentry Vehicles.Xu Li, Zhongtao Cheng, Bo Wang, Yongji Wang & Lei Liu - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-19.
This paper presents an attitude control scheme combined with adaptive dynamic programming for reentry vehicles with high nonlinearity and disturbances. Firstly, the nonlinear attitude dynamics is divided into inner and outer loops according to the time scale separation and the cascade control principle, and a general sliding mode control method is employed to construct the main controllers for the double loops. Considering the shortage of main controllers in handling nonlinearity and sudden disturbances, an ADP structure is introduced into the outer (...)

Understanding the neural basis of schizophrenia (SZ) is important for shedding light on the neurobiological mechanisms underlying this mental disorder. Structural and functional alterations in the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), hippocampus, and medial prefrontal cortex (MPFC) have been implicated in the neurobiology of SZ. However, the effective connectivity among them in SZ remains unclear. The current study investigated how neuronal pathways involving these regions were affected in first-episode SZ using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Forty-nine patients (...)

Control of unsafe behaviors has always been a difficult point in Coal Mine Safety Management. To study the regular pattern of behavior propagations in CMSM, a series of evolutionary dynamical system models are established by the delay and impulsive differential equations. The threshold constraints and impulse responses in the models can accurately correspond to the actual inspection and supervision measures in safety management. Through the simulation analysis and comparison of the system stability, it can be concluded that some proper settings (...)

The Daqing Changyuan oil field is primarily composed of large, fluvial-deltaic thin sandstones and shales with a high degree of heterogeneity. Over the past 50 years of development, the geologic study of this reservoir has relied on a large amount of well-log data in the field. However, a detailed reservoir description based only on wireline-log data cannot meet the requirements of oil field development. There is still some uncertainty about the sand boundary and geometry, due to reliance only on data (...)

Analysis of Defective Pre-Stressed Pipe Piles Residual Bearing Capacity and Treatment Measures.Feng Xiong, Zhiliang Wang, Haofeng Xing & Zhitang Lu - forthcoming - Interpretation:1-33.
Due to the poor geological conditions, unreasonable design principle or construction method, many quality defects often occur during the pre-stressed pipe piles field construction, which will greatly influence pipe piles normal service or result in engineering accident. To acquire some treatment measures of the defective pipe piles, we carried out a few theoretical researches on this type of pipe piles. First, the types of defective pre-stressed pipe piles were summarized. Then we explored the force and deformation characteristics of the defective (...)

Frequent pattern mining is an effective approach for spatiotemporal association analysis of mobile trajectory big data in data-driven intelligent transportation systems. While existing parallel algorithms have been successfully applied to frequent pattern mining of large-scale trajectory data, two major challenges are how to overcome the inherent defects of Hadoop to cope with taxi trajectory big data including massive small files and how to discover the implicitly spatiotemporal frequent patterns with MapReduce. To conquer these challenges, this paper presents a MapReduce-based Parallel (...)

A reservoir was dominated by inclined heterolithic stratification formed in large point bars of the McMurray Formation. We have used high-resolution seismic data and logging data to identify the internal architectural elements of the reservoir. From the core data, we defined four lithofacies and recognized the architectural element boundary. Then, we used stratum dip data across wells, combined with seismic reflectivity, isopach, and amplitude attributes, to understand the lateral continuity of the boundaries. Later, we established the sedimentary model and found (...)

Flocking Behavior of Cucker–Smale Model with Processing Delay.Jianfei Cheng, Maoli Chen & Xiao Wang - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-6.
The dynamics of a delay multiparticle swarm, which contains symmetric and asymmetric pairwise influence functions, are analyzed. Two different sufficient conditions to achieve conditional flocking are obtained. One does not have a clear relationship with this delay, and the other proposes a range of processing delays that affect the emergence of a flock. It is also pointed out that if the interparticle communication function has tail dissipation, unconditional flocking can be guaranteed. Compared with the previous results, the range of the (...)

Even worse, people’s behavior habit of chewing betel nut may influence each other through social interaction with direct or indirect ways, such as face-to-face communication, Facebook, Twitter, microblog, and WeChat, which leads to the spreading phenomenon of betel nut addiction. In order to investigate the dynamic spreading characteristics of betel nut addiction, a PMSR betel nut (...)

Distributed Gaussian Granular Neural Networks Ensemble for Prediction Intervals Construction.Chunyang Sheng, Haixia Wang, Xiao Lu, Zhiguo Zhang, Wei Cui & Yuxia Li - 2019 - Complexity 2019:1-17.
To overcome the weakness of generic neural networks ensemble for prediction intervals construction, a novel Map-Reduce framework-based distributed NN ensemble consisting of several local Gaussian granular NN is proposed in this study. Each local network is weighted according to its contribution to the ensemble model. The weighted coefficient is estimated by evaluating the performance of the constructed PIs from each local network. A new evaluation principle is reported with the consideration of the predicting indices. To estimate the modelling uncertainty and (...)
