    This research focuses on a particular type of “aesthetic consumption” that meets the needs of consumers and entrepreneurs who are aware of the negativeconsequences of purchasing behaviors.     Relational capacity is the ability to develop and maintain the desired relationships with stakeholders by creating network, information and reciprocityadvantages. It aligns stakeholder theory with relational contract theory, social network analysis and related research streams to develop a “stakeholder-relational-perspective” of firm performance. This perspective views firm relationships built on relational capacity as heterogeneous, flexible and capable of becoming stronger over time. The assumption is that organizations with strong relational capacity can better leverage firm relationships to gain a sustained competitive advantage.

The primary criticism of rankings is that providers have not established reliability or validity of the ranking.     We contend that Noë and Thompson's arguments leave both the minimal substrate thesis and the (considerably stronger) matching-content doctrine unscathed. We construe their arguments as each having the form of a modus tollens as follows: (1) If the matching-content doctrine is true, then Q; (2) It is not the case that Q; therefore, (3) The matching-content doctrine is false. We show that in each case, Noë and Thompson fail to cite any Q such that both premises are true.

    James Thomson envisaged a lamp which would be turned on for 1 minute, off for 1/2 minute, on for 1/4 minute, etc. ad infinitum. He asked whether the lamp would be on or off at the end of 2 minutes. Use of “internal set theory” (a version of nonstandard analysis), developed by Edward Nelson, shows Thomson's lamp is chimerical; its copy within set theory yields a contradiction.
